I searched and found plenty about intermittent speedo failures - reading zero.

Mine is failing differently: On the way home on a drone down the highway, I was rolling in the mid 70s when I goosed it for some passing mojo. I glanced down and the speedo was flipping digits wildly, erratically displaying from the 80s to over 100 randomly and very fast. I tested the failure more, finding that anything over 80 seems to cause this highly erratic display. Ideas?

Mine is going in for the same thing on the 10th of this month. They are putting a instrument cluster in for the same issue u are having. I will let u know if it fixes it or not.

I have money bet on both of you needing the VSS.

Mine did the erratic speed and the drop to 0... usually first the erratic then the 0.

Dealer did a cluster first = no change then a VSS.

I agree Extreme. But I will let them replace it anyway for the updated firmware for another problem I have when it gets cold outside.

thats just because that the 1125 is such a beast that it goes into warp speed but with the extremely flat torque curve you just dont realize

VSS for sure. The job takes a little time because of how its routed from right side to left side and how its tied off next to rear shock.

Didn't make it to the dealer last weekend. Rode to and from work today. Was rock solid on the way in and began the erratic BS again halfway home. Eh whatever - speed's relative anyway.
