recently I bought a 2009 cluster to install on my 2008!

cool! I have gear indicator and voltmeter! but the problem of fuel light still exists
for me this panel is not useful,

I would like to know if is possible to install in another bike!

If it hasn't gone through the 30 minute pairing exercise then I think you could put it on any 1125 with no issues. If it's already done the pairing then you may have issues as i think your vin and mileage are "burned" in at that point. Would still work, but thinking mileage in the other bike's ECM would be over written with what's stored in the cluster from your bike.

S21125r, so in the event of differing information (mileage and VIN), the cluster should overwrite the ECM, not vice versa?

This comes up a lot on the forum. No one seems to KNOW what happens when used clusters are swapped.

Someone is just going to have to try it and report back.

Nothing, really. Just a wrong mileage readout.

it's possible that cluster higher mileage is copied to ecm ?

From what I've read here on many of the post is that the both the cluster and ECM hold mileage/vin info, however the cluster is considered the master unless it is brand new and never been paired before.

When you guys swap between race and stock ECM the mileage is always correctly accounted for, so that implies that the cluster is the gatekeeper for this info. However when the cluster is brand new, it has to go back to the ECM to get the baseline mileage to begin with.

Worst case if the cluster shows incorrect mileage on a different bike, plug the old cluster back in and it should revert back.
