I have been reading through the archives on here (man...thats A LOT of info)and I read about the coolant leaking through the weep hole on the right side.

Well...I check the spot on my bike and what do you know...lol (600 miles on the clock)

I am taking apart the shroud to check the coolant level this afternoon if the coolant leak is not significant I will probably leave it alone and just monitor it.

Let it be mate, mine did this early on, 15k now and all is fine, never touched it, doesn't use any fluids.

Same here, mine apparently fixed itself. Took it to the dealer at about 1500 miles they said there was no fix currently and they would keep me posted (sure). They changed the coolant and at about 2200 it stopped weeping. It now has 21000 miles on it and I have never had to add coolant.

Mine too. Noticed a little white "chalking" on the engine casing below the hole and rubbed it off, then monitored for several months.

I did add approx. 6 oz of the HD coolant and have not had to add again. At first I thought that I picked it up new with no coolant in it as there was nothing in the overflow.

All is well with over 8,000 on this bike. No further coolant issues.

Had the chalking thing on mine too. As my warranty was expiring I took it in and HD put in a new seal.

Edit- this made sure it was a documented problem

I checked it last night and the overflow was dry. I somehow doubt it all drained out from the little weep hole...

I believe there was a problem where most dealers didn't know to fill the overflow bottle as part of their setup and most bikes sold with a dry overflow. I know mine was as I found it when I got it home.

Yours too may never have had any coolant in the overflow.

I'm not personally convinced it matters to have a dry overflow bottle.

The race bikes use the overflow and plumb it to a catch bottle which we empty as required.

No issues.
