Unlike Jim - I do not have fans on mine. As long as I'm moving along at a good clip and the weather isn't too hot, It will run in the 180's to low 190's under track load conditions (8-10,000 followed by engine braking, repeat). As I am exiting track and heading back to paddock, I have seen it go as high as 225. Just running H2O with a little water wetter. Last weekend, air temps were in the 70's and the bike LOVED it - WT was around 165, but these things make lots more power on cooler days!

Race ECM, Stock pods, although I opened up the inside pods (where the fan mounts) to help it breathe. When in doubt, I run race gasssss to prevent detonation. (like when it's over 90). One of the downsides is that gridding has to be done carefully - as in, shut the bike off until just before go time.

I don't have fans on the race bike. When I had an OEM configuration I did, though, and that's what I would get overheating with.

The flexiglass setup doesn't use fans.

Sorry JD - I misundertook you

Danny - no pics, sorry. Did it help? I don't know, but it did increase the size of the opening for air to move through. The best I can explain it is that on the inside pod, there is a ring that the fan mounts to - just outside of that is a 'skewed rectangle' in the molding. I cut to the 'rectangle' perimeter - which is pretty close to the shape of the radiator itself. If I remember, I will be tearing the bike down in a few weeks and will take some pics then.

Modified inner pods ("no fan" application).

Weather dude says it's supposed to hit the 20's tomorrow night, so I figured I better drain the system and pull the radiators tonight.
