So today I finally decided to use the scales to get actually real world fully loaded weights for the CR.

Just sitting there without rider the bike weight was:
462 lbs.
That's about 54% front 46% rear weight distribution.

With me sitting on it the total was:
654 lbs. (that was the best i could do to balance with the 2 scales under the tire)
That's about 49% front and 51% rear weight distribution.

And the details:
I am 6' 1" at about 210 lbs.
My bike is pretty stock with stock exhaust.
Things taken off: all reflectors, belt guard, cheese grader, inner air box cover.
Things added on: Jarden fender eliminator, GPR stabilizer, 2 HID ballast.

Huh. That's a lot heavier than I thought. Full fuel?

K&N filter is maybe a little more than stock.
Maybe 1 additional pound for the HIDs
Maybe 3 additional pounds for the GPR
Everything else should be a wash.
I do have a 200/50 rear tire on but that only has a few hundred miles left and shouldn't be very much heavier than the stock 180/55.

The stock dry weight i remember hearing was 395.
Then add:
35 pounds for 5 gallons of fuel
?? pounds for coolant
5 pound for 3 quarts of oil
?? brake/clutch fluid

Couldn't total more than 50 pounds

I thought the 1125 was 375 dry, and the Firebolt was 395.

What about the battery? Does dry weight include the battery?

Also, do you weigh 210 fully geared up? That means the scale should read around 672 at a minimum with you on it. Looks like there's some error in the readings.

"Dry" is no oil, no fuel, no coolant, no battery.

"Wet" is everything EXCEPT fuel.

They're outdated forms of measurement...but "it's the way the industry has always done it", so....

Erik Buell Racing uses wet weight minus fuel, and the 1190RS clocks in at 389lbs.

With a Drummer and a full tank of gas, on a truck scale that weighs in 10 lb increments, my cr showed 440. So I read that as 435-445.

FWIW.
