Morning from Cleveland Ohio. I've been trying to find an HPE exhaust for my 1125R here in the states and it's near impossible. Can anyone in the northeast Ohio area direct me where I can order one from without getting clobbered by the exchange rates? Ilmberger doesn't list the system on their site anymore.

I'd even be willing to pick up a used one in good condition.

Thanks!

I got mine from Diesel Moto , but I know Sierra Cycle and Solo-Buell all had them , but I dont see the HPE on their site anymore . they may have stopped production....

You may want to try Trojan Horse ?

That's the issue I've been having is trying to avoid ordering something from overseas. I can't find anyone in the US that has them and the HPE website for bikes is inactive.

Welcome to badWeb:

I suggest you read this shootout report. The report is truthful.

American Sport Bike has all kinds of unique Buell parts. American Sport Bike produced, tested on the same dyno, and published this report with the participation of other badWebbers.

Last but not least.

Leanness caused by the new muffler pretty much requires the mandatory purchase of an Erik Buell Racing race ECM. There are race ECMs' available for most of the brands in the shootout.

Yes, get the RT-3 and ecm! This combo is unbelievable. I have not had the bike on the dyno yet but the bike has been completely transformed. Everytime I'm on the thing I don't want to get off of it.

I can agree with that Drhodes1970 its just the way the bike should be. It is a little bit loud but easy to get used to, and its not so loud that every cop in the city looks at you.

I've got an HPE and would like to warn you while it sounds like an offshore powerboat - it is just about as loud. I've ridden with a gentlemen with an RT3 and the volume was about the same. That being said; the HPE sounded better - I am not slamming Dean's pipe but thats the way it shook out back to back.

If I was you though, in lieu of the HPE any of Dean's creations (KEDA design) would be the route I would go. I'd even sell my HPE if I could find a quieter aftermarket alternative that still made good power and didnt' sound like a mouse farting (ie OEM).

+1 on T-Mans post , KEDA may be the way for you to go if you dont find anything in the states , but I absolutely love my HPE , not only the looks with the upturned dual outlet unlike anything else out there , but the sound is one of a kind for sure , a real head turner . I got mine and never looked back or wished maybe I had gotten something else . Good luck !

I love my HPE Race and wouldn't give it up for the world...Or until I lowside at the track and destroy it.

The Keda RT1 isnt nearly as loud as the RT3. Dean can make a quiet version of the RT1 as well. I own one and it sounds fantastic. Dont get me wrong, its not all that quiet but it is the most tame, yet meaty, deep, sounding 1125 exhaust Ive ever heard. I got a lot of compliments on that pipe at homecoming.

Its awesome

Keda RT1QT!

HPE are still available but we ave to wait for a wile to get them in, as they are not an 'off the shelf' item.

Build quality is leagues better than Jardine or FMF/HMF etc, although the race version (without cat) is definitely loud : )
