Just a hair under 9K miles since Dec 2009. Only had to change the tires once (to PP 2CT) ... well, twice for the rear since I caught a nail! Ugh. Pretty good for my first full riding season (started on an '03 9R for Aug-Dec '09).

Next up: track days at Thunderbolt/Lightning : )

Tires are too expensive to continue to go through them so quickly. I don't want that tire bill. Ouch!

Gotta pay to play...
But oh so worth it!

Nov 17, 2008 - on the way home from our trip to/through Death Valley with wife (on her V-Rod), dad & his friends.

Aug 20, 2010 - just got home from another trip to SoCal to visit and ride with my dad.

It's obvious that I need to do more trackdays to even out the wear. Too much commuting and long-distance riding.

Damn, that's just scary. Those are belts, not tread wear indicators! Haha.

That IS scary Paul.
Only time I've seen that much wire was well into a "this tire is toast" burn-out.

Dominus vobiscum.

Oh yeah, I meant the last pic.
Mine usually look like the first shot when I change them.

Meh, it's no big deal.

I noticed something was awry on the way home that last time when the bike didn't want to wheelie any more; would just do rolling burnouts.
I bet it was throwing sparks... that would've been cool to see!

I still rode it a couple miles to a local tire shop.
Talked to this cool chick named Dana who hangs out there a lot and recently picked up a black & red CBR 1K. Wow, forgot all about her until now.

Hey Chameleon, I used to live in Centralia Wa. My brother just got back from his 3rd tour in Iraq and is now station in Wa. for the next year. Beautiful country there! Can't say that I miss the rains though. You definitely need better tire treads out there.

Statistically, Florida gets more rain (in volume) than Washington.

Cool Paul. If your bro rides and wants join me on some fun roads, have him contact me.

Oh, and tell him thanks very much for his service to our country; I truly appreciate it.
