ok so the dealer just called me and said they have all the parts in but 2. 1 part for each bike. which are on backorder until the 16th, but he said he is going to make some calls to try and get at least 1 in for me so i have a bike.

apparently the stator covers caused my stators to go bad......

anyone heard of this?

i still think it was the harness upgrade but who knows at this point......

Mine is setting in shop for same reason. From what I understood the stator got so hot that it damaged the cover.

Is the replacement cover a new design?

*eep* How hot does a stator have to get to damage a cast aluminum piece? I'm fairly sure they can stand combustion pressures at 420-450F...

read the '09 stator issues' thread and you will see what some BWB'ers think is the 'cover' problem.
