I'm thinking that at least one other maker offers/offered a bike with intake pods along the lines of the 1125; at least I believe I've seen one at a used-bike dealer a couple of years ago. Am I right, and does anyone know make/model?

Otherwise, I'd hate to think I just saw an 09 1125cr ride past me yesterday, given that my own 09 1125r hasn't even reached Australia yet!

Many bikes with side mounted radiators, but I know of none that size. It looks like your bike must be close to arrival.

That was just the technician test riding your bike. He's had it put together for about 2 weeks, and is doing the break-in for you. As a courtesy.

<grin>

Pridayr, then he's got it assembled wrong, because mine's white, and an R model! Hope he gets it right by the time I pick it up.

I'm more bothered by the notion that my purchase won't make my ride to work a unique one, if the bloody things are going to be everywhere. Plus he was riding it like a damn 250cc (and it sounded like one, too).

The CRs are shipping sooner than the Rs for the 2009 models. Coulda been a CR. Im not familiar with any other bikes that could be mistaken for an 1125.

Check out the B-king from suzuki, the cr headlight fell of and was mounted on the Buell. Its a de-flaried busa. (sort of). Hope u like it. Just don't get pissy at the non likers! Me? I dunno, cr looks diffrent but I'm shure it will sell well. I'm a R guy, but NOT disaproving!!! Be safe.

Well done, Trojan; I didn't see your post until I went back looking for my own post after finding the Benelli Tornado 1130 as it's called here.

And given that the headlamp is so similar to the CR, and the pods being smaller, it would've been the Benelli I saw on the road here.

And while looking for my own post using 'search', I ran across a previous thread that made the same connection.

Now that's a "pod" design I could live with!

The cafe racer Benelli is my fave. Up here in the GWN it is about 10K more than a CR. It is a beauty but not worth it for me. The CR is a bargain when compared and more than likely a far superior motorcycle. The Ben only wins at the art gallery.
