Here's What We Know About The New Buell Hammerhead 1190 Superbike
https://www.hotcars.com/buell-hammerhead-1190-supe rbike-news-facts/

"We’re building out those platforms for more touring & adventure models, then we’re expanding our displacements to be competitive with other global brands."

When I first read this, I thought “expanding our displacements” meant increasing to a 1250 or 1290 since the 1190 has fallen behind most modern superbikes. But now I think they mean downsizing like HD, although I’m not sure how unless they’re talking about a single cylinder version like the Blast.

New Harley-Davidson Sportster To Get New 975 Revolution Max Motor

“Close competition like the Suzuki GSX-R1000R is equipped with a DOHC inline-four engine with the additional advantage of Suzuki's variable valve timing (VVT).”

In 2017, Suzuki added VVT along with a slight bump in compression to boost engine power from 182HP@12,000 to 199HP@13,200, keeping it in the ballpark of most other one liter superbikes. Is the Buell 1190 a candidate for VVT?

Let me start by saying that I hope they make a go of the new company.

BUT! I'm throwing the brown BS flag on this article.
To start, the picture under bullet point 7 is of the old East Troy facility dyno area and even has Erik in the frame.

2: The motorcycle's rear is streamlined and shaped in a futuristic manner.
Looks exactly the same as the RX picture.

3:Rivals of the Hammerhead 1190 in the American market include the Ducati Panigale V4, Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja, BMW S 1000 RR, and the Yamaha R1.
....or the 1190RX sitting in my shed....

A little too much undeserved fawning.

So they decided to make a version of Sportster for babies.
