Looks like you remove the seat and possibly the tank and you can see the rear head. Not a big deal, IMHO.

I think if the US gov't decides to go through with its Euro bike taxation plan, all US makers will have an open market to play with in the sub 500cc range. EBR could be the first into that niche.

Egagnon, that is the way I posted on a cycle magazine forum. Laws such as the 100% tax/tariff are stupid but if passed, provide a huge opportunity for designers and engineers to set up micro shops. Everyone has probably seen this SSR Buccaneer AC 250 for $3500 from China but I will post it anyway. Video sound at 0:30 seconds...

Erik can so easily top this with a V-twin, P-twin or single.
As Hughlysses asked, is there any info for an announcement at the Chicago show?

"Erik can so easily top this with a V-twin, P-twin or single."

I do not see any way possible that EBR could get anywhere close to that bikes $3,500 price tag. To even sell one for $7,000 would be very difficult.

It will be interesting to see if that SSR bike above is reliable or not.

I think a smaller air cooled vtwin would sell well, specially if the tariff does go in place

"As a true anonymous, I can only say that the post regarding air cooled is not in the works at EBR, nor will it be. That is not an engine we will be developing in this era of emissions standards!"

Parallel twin! If he wanted to, someone like Erik could do it, especially after Trump gets the idiotic onerous EPA motorcycle emissions regulations properly adjusted. Is it more noise or exhaust gasses that is the challenge for a high performance air & oil-cooled engine?

Blake, noise is a big issue, in some ways air cooled bikes warm up faster and this might be a emission benefit. Power is another problem, the tolerance you have to have to make real power are hold to hold on a bike that has trouble moderating the highest emts reached and keeping uniform temps through out.

Thanks for confirming that sir Dave. : )

Figuring out how to efficiently attenuate the noise emissions would be a really neat R&D effort to take on.

Shorter stroke might help some. Or make it worse, no tellin'.

I'm sure it would. Both Harley and Victory have put a lot of effort into reducing the mechanical noise in their power trains in recent years. Reducing mechanical noise allowed them to fit louder exhausts and still stay under the noise limits.

Back on topic, I notice EBR has taken down the "future models" page from their site. There's a broken "button" for this on the "models" page (https://www.erikbuellracing.com/models)

Perhaps another reveal is coming up soon?

Interesting change to the "dealers" page at EBR; "top dealers" are now listed in a column on the left, while "dealers" are listed in a column on the right. The top dealers are listed neither alphabetically nor by state, so I'm guessing the first dealer is literally their "top" dealer.

Looks like the answer to the original question in the post is: "Probably never..." : (
