I guess I was being a cynical dummyhead, swimming the wrong way in a pool full of wrong juice while wearing my wrong pants.
I was wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. Wrongity Wrongman from Wrongtown.

Very little crow eating there, as well as a lot of negativity. Clearly he is hoping and pushing for a fail of EBR by saying the RX and SX are obsolete. SX won a shoot out in an Australia magazine against all other street fighters a year ago. Why all the hate from the US press towards EBR?

Unfortunately he is correct in saying that the SX is obsolete in the fact that it does not offer ABS which is now a requirement to have to sell bikes in Europe.

But other than that he was wrong.

>>>>Very little crow eating there

I thought the same thing.

The guy essentially wrote a patently inaccurate column, full of inaccurate and misleading information, then "apologies" by saying "well, it could have been correct if the facts had been different".

Worthless journalistic drivel.

Writing is very easy for those who know very little, when those who are reading it know nothing at all.

Or at least that's how I see the vast majority of motorcycle "News and opinion" websites, like that one.

"Wrongity Wrongman from Wrongtown"

Add "The Wrongster" and "Wrongstertarianism".

I don't get it. They gush over the Indian Scout and the Victory Octane, and the 1190 is superior to them both in any kind of performance aspect.

I haven't ridden an Octane yet, but I rode a Scout just before I rode the 1190 SX and there was no comparison. The Scout was nice, but the SX spoke to me.

Given a choice between the two, I don't have the slightest doubt which I'd choose.

For a country built on out of the box thinking its hard for American consumers to accept and purchase an out of the box product. Maybe because most Americans are caught up in the idea that since the product is so out of the box compared to the products substitutes its not a clear status symbol.
This stigma can/will be overcome by promoting the value of the out of the box technology an EBR product utilizes and how it is truly superior to technology from Japan and Europe.

Dear EBR, use a value approach in your upcoming promotional campaigns. If you need help, I graduate from Penn State in December!

Its funny how the competition now uses an under-slung exhaust these days; I wonder how they came up with that design...

Negative Nancy. Rather clear that nothing that EBR ever accomplishes will be enough for this "journalist". He'll always be a naysayer, one to jump on anything with the most negative spin he can muster.

The damage will be to those that read his opinion as gospel.

A blog/forum on the EBR website and one awesome article in Cycle World will get people thinking about the benefits of an EBR. Now is time to under promise and over deliver to perspective buyers and dealers.

Xb9rer,

Under promise and over deliver makes me think of scotty.

Kirk - "How much reset time till we can take her out again?"

Scotty - "Eight weeks Sir. But you don't have eight weeks so I'll do it for you in two."

Kirk - "Mr Scott, Have you always multiplied your repair estimates by a factor of four?"

Scotty - "Certainly Sir, How else can I keep my reputation as a miracle worker?"
