The most interesting thing I got out of that is that it was established at Laguna Seca that the Team Hero-EBR superbike teams were going in the wrong direction with their suspension setups.

Hopefully that information will be put to good use in subsequent races.

WTF? Well I hate to do this but I might have to pull the trigger on a '15 Yamaha Tenere if the EBR is not out by then.

I think you meant to post in the thread below regarding the EBR AX:

^ Based on what's been posted here and elsewhere, apparently the American's couldn't tell the Italians on the team anything about how to set up the EBR's. Apparently their attitude was "we know far more about WSBK and how to race motorcycles than you do", refusing to acknowledge that the EBR is a different beast from what they'd raced before. When the team efforts were lousy, they blamed the bike and/or the riders.

At LS, with no prior experience with the EBR WSBK setup, Larry Pegram beat the Italians' best efforts even with sub-optimum suspension components (Erik said elsewhere they needed different fork valving that Ohlins didn't have with them at the track).

I'd guess after that, the Italians HAD to acknowledge they weren't going about it right. NOW, if we can just see some benefit from that "schooling" in the next WSBK race.

Yeah, how did that happen? Weird. I was wide awake when I posted that....
