not quite the story line in Brave...
All I can say is I love trailer 2... and I'm very glad that the trailer guys are NOT giving away the whole story... darn deceptive of them. Appreciate not seeing a trailer and feeling like I've seen the best parts... so why bother going?

I've not seen Brave. I only mention it because the article cited it.

I can't seem to find the old pay it forward gear exchange board we used to have up here
years ago. I have a women's medium Icon merc jacket that is looking for a new home
because it no longer fits my daughters.

It will only cost a rider that needs a jacket but can't afford one the price of shipping
from my house to yours. Has CE spine, elbow and shoulder armor. In good shape with only
slight discoloration around neck from normal wear. All zippers in good working order, all
velcro and snaps still good. Barely used in all honesty. pm me. first come....

Also if you can afford a new jacket please do me a favor and pass this over so that someone
that can't has a shot at being a little safer out there on the road. We all know that
a rider that can't afford good gear won't forego riding until they can, except in very rare
cases. This is all about helping someone ride safer.

As far as Brave goes, haven't seen it, but I've been it. I made the statement (while standing
on the campus of a women's college) that Titanic sucked.....Angry Angry women after that...

I haven't been on here for many years, ever since I put the old S1 away, and I cannot find out how to search.

Has anyone tried the new lithium batteries that are lighter and twice as expensive? I can't get more than 12 to 18 months out of the OEM batteries.

I only use them to start the bike occasionally so I expect my batteries to have a short life. Wondering how the Lithium ones will hold up.

Have not tried the lithium batteries yet, although I am intrigued if they can compete with the AGM batteries
in terms of CCA and longevity. I'd be asking the race teams if the teams not running total loss had tried them.

At one point we were using a start cart and a small battery like those used in emergency lighting in order to
reduce the bike's weight. The battery and starter are quite a bit of mass. Of course on a street bike the
dry weight is less critical, but we all like lighter, faster, stronger new tech.

The Shorai Li-FePO4 battery has been in my bike for a couple of weeks now. So far so good. Since the Pb-acid batteries rarely go more than 12 months, I am excited about the Shorai's 24 month warranty. Loosing 12 lbs. makes me feel great even if cost was double.

Love new technologies!

hey guys, how is everyone doin'? fine i hope. please bear with me i'm new around here. i recently picked up a 2003 p3 from a friend that was sorrowfully sitting in their back yard rotting away. it was ridden once, dumped, and never ridden again. the reason i joined this forum is because i dig buells and harleys.japanese just don't do it for me unless it's dirtbikes or quads. anyhoo,i am trying to find some parts for this bike that for whatever reason were taken off when it was put in the back yard, mainly the carb and related parts,etc..i have a carb from a 1200 sportster (cv40 i believe) w/o the sensors and valve. will it work? does the bike need that tps to run? any help would be greatly appreciated. these things are hard to find parts for.

Bigd, this forum is for the tubers http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/47623.html?1355657458

and reaches the experts more directly.

The P3 is not a tuber. I don't think the carb you have will work on the Blast. It's less than half the displacement of a 1200 sportster.

Also, the Blast (obviously) has a carb, so no TPS. That's an FI thing.

There's also a parts wanted section in the for sale section. Might be worth posting what you need there.

The carb on a Blast is a CV40 with some tweaks for the enricher. No accelerator pump either. Jetting is also different.
Check the Blast forum for the experts input.

Buell Parts Source - (also posted on another forum):
Maybe folks already know of these guys, but Lake Shore HD has been "da bomb!" for getting parts for my Blast. The one I picked up (bike) needs semi-serious work, so I've been ordering stuff like complete engine gasket set, all the mounts, etc. So far, they have only had to special order one part that they are waiting for from HD. Prices are VERY good and shipping costs are super as is the customer service and time to process the order. Hope I don't jinx myself, but thought it worth sharing.
Their website is: <http://www.lshd1.com/servlet/categories?category=a ll&keyword=blast&start=33&total=80> It may help that I plug in the part number I get from my PM into the search box. Did have one part where the number had changed and it didn't take me to the new number, just said it couldn't find the old one.

Need some help I am in the process of selling my 2000 Lightning X1. As there are not many to compare price with I have no idea of a fair asking price. I have owned the bike since new and it has 11000 on the clock. This bike has been signed by Eric Buell himself at the Texas Hill Country Rally back in 2000.(picture proof)send replies to ridex12000@yahoo.com

Bought myself a 2006 Ulysses. No manual so any help would be appreciate in changing oils. I'm ordering a service manual but want to change to oil myself before I start riding for the season. Type and quantity would be helpful. Thanks.
