Getting old and bigger sucks. Thanks to Buell and even HD and all those Buell Brothers and sisters that have supported the Buells. I love my old X1 but have now gone back to cruiser. I will miss the little beast. I will try to find time tomorrow to start posting info. Not desperate to sell but now have a new Goddess. $6000 lots of goodies and new stuff.

Thanks I may be able to finish pictures tonight of all the spares and Saddlebags on. The saddlebags are set tight because of the Zen Rails on the stock seat and ofcourse this big custom seat.

I also wanted to get to the bad.

Shortly after I go it I did fall off of it in a Soybean field in 2006. At the time it had only 2000 miles on it. A little damage was done in the dirt but its not noticeable to anyone visually or functionally after a quick repair. I had to repair the rear shock mount hole on the motor.

Considering the age I think the seepage from the motor isn't that bad all.

The bike will fly down the road with no hands needed...all the time to make jacket adjustments. If I had cruise, who know how long i could ride with no hands. That is important to know that everything is strait, feels good and is safe.

The clutch is amazing. The Mueller Ramp with the Nylon Cable is very nice. It has been ridden like an adult. It has not been constantly popping willies or dropped on the ground.

Feel free to send offers. All will be considered, $5500 OBO. Black Betty deserves a new home.

Some Parts Highlights
Quiet Motor for an X1! Always use Mobil 1 Vtwin Full Syn 20-50
Custom Seat was $400 in LN Condition.
Better than new Wiley Co Silencer $300 or higher? They don't make these anymore and sound the best.
Factory Race ECM ?
Late Style PM Wheels. These are kept looking great and are Machine buffed and polished with each tire change.
Muller Clutch Ramp $175
Factory Track Grips Rare
New Barnett Clutch and Sprocket Shaft Seal. $500 job you dont have to worry about. Perfect Clutch
Tight Drum Clip on transmission. Shifts easy.
Factory X1 Saddle Bags Rare
Zen Rails Very Rare and lucky to own these. $400 ?

I would be confident in taking this X1 anywhere on a long highway tour or ?

I don't think that "No one wants a good X1" so much as it is that you are asking $6000.00 for a bike with 40,000 miles on it.
There's one for sale that has 1/16 the miles that can be had for under $4000.00. While it doesn't have the farkles yours does or may not have had the maintenance, it's still for sale for $2000.00 less. Even at the 4K asking price it probably won't sell for that.

Just my .02, but you asked.

Good Friday! Well that's what we are here to do. Find a fair price. Right now I am at $5500. I did some math and realized I could take off all the extras and make the bike stock. Doing that would allow me to sell the new parts and goodies for around $1500.

Then I could post the bike up for $2500.
My guess is someone might want like it as is and the option to do those things themselves if needed. So does anyone still think. $4800 is not a fair price? I am listening.

I found two more spare parts. A Voltage Regulator and a Coil. Both Ebay items bought years ago.

Still for sale. Around $1500 of Liquid parts and accessories are on this bike and in the deal. Including everything you need to make it stock again minus a stock seat. This X1 needs nothing and is ready for the Dragon or where ever you want to go.
