Hey all, I decided to replace the turn signals on my 01 Blast with small LED signals from eBay. I swapped out the front two first and they worked like a charm, no issues. Then tonight i decided to swap out the rear ones and all of a sudden the lights won't flash anymore AND my flasher relay is screaming at me. What gives? Do I need a special relay to run 4 LED signals? Why did it work fine when I only had 2 hooked up?

Yes, you need a special relay. It likely worked fine because the 2 old turn signals still provided enough of a load for the flasher to work.

EZ I think lists a cheap LED compatible somewhere here. If not I'm sure they are available. Or a "Signal Minder" from Kissan will solve the problem and you'll also get running lights, emergency flashers and self cancelling turn signals (about $100). Other products are also available.

Thats my best guess anyway!

Thanks Erik! I'll head to Autozone/Advance/NAPA/Cycle Gear later today and try and find an LED relay.

I'm pretty sure EZ posted the napa pt # here somewhere. Try the search function. I can't do that from my phone. I could be wrong though.

This is a great find!

Sombody post that information at the top of the electrical page as the other fix is to disconnect one of the relay lead internally on the flasher...

Yes. But you'll change other two eventually anyway so might as well get the right flasher! You can also buy a flasher that will give you emergency lights and self cancelling turn signals (and maybe even a pulsating brake light if desired). About $100.
