This was the best news I'd heard in a long time . . toss in the chance to eat BBQ and . . .well, I'm there.

I was up at 4am . . . . ready to head toward North Adams, VT to grab coffee and intercept the guys coming from MA but a look at the weather radar . . . and my "don't knowingly ride into 50]super{o}F temps and a 70% chance of continued showers" sent me to the car with a load of coffee, new music and cameras.

I figured that I could still take all the back roads and the day from awesome . . . 12 hours of driving . . some amazing sight seeing . . .great BBQ and great friends . . . and, the best part . . . cancer wasn't there!

WOW !

Anyway . . . the pics weren't that great . . but the day darn sure was.

I'd disagree - Some of those pictures are excellent. Looks like a fun time

Court; it was a pleasure having lunch with you and the others at the Dinosaur. As always, you took some great photos.
In 2010, after the Buell Homecoming, I went to the Moto Guzzi National Rally in Oregon. While there, I met a Guzzi owner from California who told me that he would come over to Badweb, just to see the photos you'd take. He was in awe of you.
Just though I'd bring that up since it's obvious that your skills haven't diminished a bit.

Well. . . . . I got kinda ticked that I didn't ride yesterday . . . but, in my sunset years . . . it was the right decision.

Soooooooo . . . . today I jump on the Uly at 4:00pm and just point it away from the world for a couple hundred miles.

Seems funny to have that perfectly good bike with less than 8,000 miles on it . . . old timers will recall I used to, consistently , ride 1,000 - 2,000 per week.

Getting old is . . . . . grrrrrr

Well, here are a couple from today.

You need to get out and get some shots of the foliage. Maybe it's just me, but it seems that the colors are more vibrant this Fall than they've been for the past couple of years. Of course, that could just be my imagination, but I sure am noticing some magnificent reds, golds and oranges.

Magnificent!
There are some real and beautiful reasons to live in the Northeast. (besides being able to eat at the Dinosaur)
I can think of more, but I think I just came up with a subject for another Snippet.

I think . . . at the first sign of spring . . you and I need to take a little ride to Arthur Bryant's.

While the Dinosaur is darn tasty . . . .it's pretty much "tourist-Q". Don't get me wrong . . .I suck it down often (helps that my classroom is in view of the Dinosaur and I can call my order in on break and pick up after class) . . . but I've got to get you to KC or . . . perhaps even Mac's down in East Dallas.

There's more to going to the Dinosaur than just the food. For me, it's a minimum of 125 miles each way (depending on which location ). Plus, almost every time I go, there are good folks; usually Badwebbers; that I'm dining with. A meal at the Dinosaur with the likes of Froggy (and Dani), yourself, Johnny Lunchbox and Sue, Damnut, Tramp, Jaimec and all the others who I've shared a meal and conversation with over the many visits to the various locations is better than a fine gourmet Dinner prepared by a Cordon Bleu chef that's eaten alone.
The absolute best BBQ I ever had was a little Mom and Pop place right across the street from Don's Honda in Colorado Springs. When I worked at that shop, I ate lunch at the Smoke House every day and I never got sick of it. The food was just a delight. When the folks who ran the Smoke House sold the business and retired, my heart was broken and I couldn't find decent BBQ until I moved to Louisville, Kentucky a few years later.

I could not agree more . . . . In fact . . we really need, by hook or crook, to do that more often.

The group is always phenomenal and it's one of the few times I get to see the Frogster fact to face . . . it's invariably an amazing bunch.

I'm all for . . . before the weather hits us . . . giving it another shot . . . . I have a bit of a hankering, I confess, to explore North Adams. I did some reading on it when you mentioned it and there are a couple awesome looking coffee places.

Fact is . . . I'm not sure I've ever had "bad" BBQ . . .but I'd eat White Castle and it'd be a feast with that group.

Our last meeting was a special celebration . . . your good news is still bringing smiles to a lot of us!
