Time will tell. Look at how it played out for his girlfriend Lorenzo. Lol.

Shows you know jack shit about Marquez.

I just watched video of him carrying his own luggage at the airport.

He's been declared fit to race, and he's going to race.

Even Vale picked Marc as the 2020 champion.

I do think he's nuts, though. If he should crash again he could do irreparable damage. Both of his shoulders are held together with plates and screws and now his right arm as well?? He's tempting fate.

As a side note, I said the same thing about Lorenzo when he decided to compete in Assen less than 48 hours after having his shoulder plated too. He missed out on the podium, but shockingly, not by much.

He made the sensible decision. Lesser individuals wouldn't have even tried.

Crutchlow and Rins are another couple of hardcore riders. Take a beating and get up to fight.

Of course, neither of them had titanium plates bolted to their humerus' this week, so there's that.

World Champion 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019

By my math, he's held that title for 80% of his career. Even Rossi has made his peace with it. Amazing that some others can't.

An all-Yamaha podium. Deny him if you want but at 41 years of age under those GRUELING conditions, he still manages a podium! Unbelievable.

When Marquez comes back, I can't wait to see him and Quartararo going at it head-to-head. It'll likely be a replay of the Lorenzo/Stoner battles of a few years back.

Unsurprisingly, Marc's attempt to race damaged the titanium plate in his recently broken arm and he had to have another surgery to replace it. He's going to miss this round at the very least. Bradl will get to ride this weekend in his place.

Cheers to Brad Binder! He did a hell of a job this morning.

Damn! That was AMAZING. I remember a few years back when my friend told me to watch a Moto3 race rather than skip through it on the DVR as I usually did. That was the race that Binder had to start from last place and still managed to win going away. That's when I knew the kid was something special. After hearing the French National anthem for two rounds I wonder if they had to scramble to find the South African National Anthem for the podium ceremony??

I'm surprised a bigger deal hasn't been made about the FIRST AMERICAN to stand on the podium at the end of a Moto2 race...

Watched it live, re-watched it about 100 times from every angle.

Rossi must have a platinum rabbit's foot encrusted with lucky diamonds.

https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/942789/1/marc-ma rquez-out-another-23-months

At this point, when he gets back all he can do is gather data for next year I guess. Meanwhile, with him out of the series and not running away at the front, the title chase is wide open and more exciting than it has been for years.

When is the title chase ever not wide open? Are you suggesting that with Marquez on the track the outcome is a forgone conclusion?

Last year, if he didn't win, he came in second so... yeah. The point gap between he and Dovi at the end of the year speaks for itself.

Well, that was one hell of a race. Congratulations to Miguel Olivera and KTM.

I come away from this one feeling like Takaaki Nakagami was robbed. He was having his best race ever, was definitely going to be on the podium.

Yamaha needs to get their house in order, or maybe it's Brembo. Either way, a crying shame that a rider has to literally bail off a bike going 150mph to save his own life when his brakes completely fail.

From the South African National Anthem a little while ago to the Portuguese National Anthem this time this has been an interesting year for sure.

Now everyone gets a LITTLE bit of a break before Misano next.

Yamaha just hasn't been the same since Furusawa-san retired in 2010.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Red Bull Ring accident doesn't push Rossi towards a quicker retirement. I was watching it live and it was a "HOLY SHIT!?!?!" moment for sure. That was very close to ending it all for a 41-year old, who has nothing left to prove. That and the fact the Yamaha has all sorts of problems. It was 17 KPH down to the Ducati at the Red Bull Ring!

The rumor mill has Cameron Beaubier taking over Joe Roberts' seat in Moto2. If true, I sure hope he does better than Josh Herrin. I would've preferred seeing him go to WSBK but this should be interesting!

Have we ever had a MotoGP champion who NEVER won a race? Because we're on track for just that this year...
