Figured I'd start a new thread rather than using the "MotoE Fire" thread.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first season of MotoE. Perfect racing for people with a short attention span; the races don't last long enough to become a boring processional like the other classes. No one has time to check out at the front. They're fighting tooth and nail for the entire race.

I think they're only planning six events again next year; hopefully they don't have to compress the season as they did this year due to the unexpected "set back" they had.

Asphalt and Rubber has an interesting article on what it's like to ride a MotoE bike. What caught my eye was how much these things weigh! No wonder Savadori's bike hit the air fence like a TORPEDO at the Sachsenring!

Racing is supposed to improve the breed so it'll be interesting to see how these bikes and the technology improves over time.

Yeah... the bikes are super heavy, which makes riding them a completely different thing.

I watched that last race, and it sort of reminded me of the light cycles from Tron.

The announcers had to keep catching themselves using words like "thundering" and "roaring".

Thundering and roaring, they are not. Still... it's a race. I'm guessing they can't race in the rain...?

Doesn't look like this weekend's MotoE race from Jerez is going to be televised. : (

Prediction: Audi buys a controlling interest in Energica, and just rebrands their bikes as "Ducati."

More props to Ducati, a brand I love to hate! they are so all in on racing one has to give them much credit--especially since racing seems like such a money pit with much quantifiable expense and mostly unquantifiable returns.
