Did I ever tell you that my ex and I stayed in the same hotel as Lorenzo in Indianapolis? We even met him on the elevator.

Remind me to tell you about it next time we meet in person.

One year in Indianapolis when my friend and I were at dinner we sat next to a table whose party included Jeremy Burgess and Guy Coulon...

Yes, in fact you have told me about the time you met Jorge in the elevator.

The details have escaped me, so I'll gladly listen to it again.

Meanwhile, have your people call his people and tell them to get on top of the merchandising!

Rossi and Vinales' bikes will look like Beaubier and Gerloff's bikes this year.

DAMN that Ducati is fast! The top four riders on today's test all beat Jorge Lorenzo's unofficial lap record at Sepang and all four were on Ducatis. Petrucci, Bagnaia, Miller and Dovi (in that order).

Actually, I just realized Bagnaia was on the GP18 (LAST year's model). Everyone else was on a GP19.

Well this is good news. It remains to be seen if FoxSports handles MotoAmerica as well as beIN did last year.

You may or may not like Ducati, but you have to give them respect for their deep involvement in racing (when many manufacturers are pulling back) and the fact they make some badass & FAST race bikes.

This is a SMALL company and it kinda amazes me they can devote such resources to racing when manufacturers like Kawi won't even field a GP team at all.

IF you haven't seen those hi res photos of this year's Ducati GP bike on RRW, I suggest you go and search for that article. That is pure moto porn.

The best rider in each class set a fastest lap record. Marquez did it in MotoGP by following Vinales all around the track.

I tried to watch Moto2 live. Halfway thru I got dropped and then "Unable to connect to server", or some such nonsense. Was it just me?

Someone is NOT having a good start to his career at Repsol Honda.

I tried to watch Moto2 live. Halfway thru I got dropped and then "Unable to connect to server"

I got dropped right after the Moto2 race, and was only able to reconnect about 15 seconds before the GP race started.

I sent a couple of heated emails to Dorna support, and got an answer - they indeed were having some issues on the server side but thankfully they got solved quickly.

Jorge has been having a bad couple of years... I'm starting to think he's on a downward slope and picking up speed.

It's a shame, he's a great rider... or at least was...

Of all of the riders on the grid, I most enjoy watching Lorenzo when he's on fire. It's almost like watching a machine, hitting every corner on the exact same line lap after lap. He's also the only one I'm aware of who does NOT do the "Rossi leg dangle" as he rides.

His riding style is the polar opposite of his new team mate's. Honda has an interesting challenge trying to keep both riders happy this year.

What do you guys do? Run it in a web browser and cast it to your TV?

The only thing that drive me nuts about Bein Sports is the guide descriptions of the races (I have SlingTv). What race/qualifying session/superpole is described in the guide is not always what is being broadcasted. When viewing DVRed recordings, the end of the previous race is often at the beginning of the current recording. This can easily lead to unintentionally watching the end of a race and spoiling it. Ideally, I like to watch the races chronologically to try to avoid the spoilers, but when the descriptions don't match the recordings, well it can be frustrating.

SlingTV's cloud DVR is barely adequate and that doesn't help either.

MotoGP is now on FireTV - prior to that I cast it directly to the TV from the MotoGP app on my phone or tablet. Alternatively, it can be cast from the browser.

Speaking of fire... MotoE is in a bit of trouble...

MotoE: Championship in doubt after catastrophic fire?

Also, the first race has been canceled and a new calendar will be released "soon."

They FINALLY have some Repsol Honda gear with Lorenzo's number on it.

Two hats... trucker style and ball-cap style.

NO JERSEYS yet dammit....

Personally, I liked the flat black with bright red that was on his bike during testing better than the Repsol paint scheme.

Glad they settled that stupid dispute over the air duct (and that's what it IS, an air duct) on the Ducati's swingarm. Seriously, just looking at it should tell you any downforce that thing generates would be negligible. And why would you want downforce on the rear wheel when it already has plenty of force pushing it down??

On to Argentina...

Speaking of Lorenzo, just saw (on Crash.net) that Race Direction told him he can't use titanium knee sliders. It may look spectacular on television, but the sparks may make following riders think he's crashing causing them to back off... maybe that was the idea?

All flash, no substance. I never noticed his sparks on TV. Maybe cause he's never on the TV.
