I would certainly hope that the race team have at least one specialist ont ehpayroll familiar with MM electronics, plus they should have unlimted help from marelli if they use their system, so I can't understand why they are having such 'minor electrical' problems all the time.
The race team may be completel;y separate and unconnected with the factory directly, but the fall out from the poor performance reflects on teh factory more than the pretty anonymous team unfortunately. maybe Erik needs to get the team across the pond and give them a good talking to.
And you spelled program incorrectly.
Actually I spelled Programme correctly  Being English I tend to use the correct English version of spelling (when i don't make typing mistakes of course!) |

Whatever else you can say about the WSBK effort, it's difficult to believe Erik has had any direct involvement in it up to now. |

Trojan, I happen to agree with you..hahaha!!
The sheer mass of data that they receive from one race takes specialized personnel time to interpret so sense can be made out of it. It's not something the average guy can do. The lack of such people on the team would be a massive information black hole, not just for the MM electrics, but the entire system. Pretty sure I would not like to be that guy right now.
I would have to say that the minor electrical problems are small in size but are creating a monumental issues since they can't even get on the grid. |

I find this quote from one of their FB posts this weekend interesting:

Granted the posts and press releases have largely been fluff up to now, putting the best possible spin on a miserable season. But maybe this indicates they really did figure out something they were doing fundamentally wrong? Maybe something drastic like the wiring for the ECM has been incorrect? It really wouldn't be surprising. The fact that Aaron's bike has been fine several times when Geoff's couldn't make the grid makes me wonder if perhaps they're NOT running the same electronics setup on both bikes. |

My main question is if EBR is learning how to build better street bikes as a result of WSBK racing. That's what *I* hope to get out of the EBR WSBK effort. |

A lot of it would be comparing apples to oranges though wouldn't it? Most of what they need to learn from WSB isn't really that relevant to the street bike, which is already OK for street use. A good street bike doesn't necessarily make a good WSB bike, and vice versa.
The opposite may be true, and the effect of poor WSB performance/reliability may have a negative impact on street bike sales unless the factory can take a hold of the race team and give it a shake up. |

But you didn't:
...don't understand modern electronics systems or you would know that you don't have to be at the track to programme the system with at least a basic setup to deal with...
Even in proper English English, the verb is spelled program. I feel like a dick for pointing it out, but I can't help it.
