Of course it is not a Buell, but it is a legendary twin. I thought you might enjoy reading about the exploits of my cousin Tony on the drag strip back in the day. Look for my drool on the pic of bike from when I would visit him as a teenager.

That is the essence of racing,
Thank you, what a great story.

After almost 60 years Tony has returned to his roots. He also rode Matchless flat trackers back in the day. Feast you eyes on his Trackmaster Vincent street tracker with Lightning spec motor and Matchless tank.

Always thought that motor was the best looking one ever built. WAY COOL Price range on them is out of hand.

Rollie Free's Black Lightning only went for a million at auction the last time. There were only 32 Black Lightnings built although there are some other Vincent's that have been converted.

Tony sold his in about 1957 and it is still owned by the same family. He has tried to buy it back, but it is not for sale, it being the last one built I would think it would be VERY expensive.

The motor in his street tracker is a converted Rapide motor.

Wonder if the Joe Minonno mentioned is related to the John Minnono from Texas I know who is a very fast landspeed racer?

Here is your answer.

BTW Jon was also a roadracer and raced often at Hallet near Tulsa back in the day when I was sponsoring Cory West's dad Marvin.
