This bike was running at the Red Wing (MN) Hillclimb on 9/16/12. The owner said the steering head and around the swingarm pivot were original, but the frame tubes duplicated the factory geometry.

It would be really interesting to see the frame and engine attach points without the plastic in the way. This is way cool.

Dang. Thats a much more compact motor than I imagined. Did they remove the front head or something?

Bet that thing is a hoot to ride.

I wish I could have gone this weekend. The topic even came up in conversation on Saturday...
I would LOVE to see/hear that beast.

Hmmm...I wonder if he was using nitromethane or just plain old race gas?

Is there a radiator, or does it only run long enough to climb the hill, then get shut off?

One of the most economical bike stands I've seen.

Some of the bike had even more used and abused 2x4's than that for racestands!

It wasn't any louder than the Open Sportys.

It was an amateur meet, so gasoline for fuel. I went to a AMA pro meet in '73 or so and they were running nitro - Nortons, BSAs, Indians, Laverdas - the variety was fantastic.
