First trip to the strip this year was pretty good. Didn't go as fast as I wanted, but on the plus side I was really consistent all day. Didn't have much trouble with wheelies either. Reaction times were pretty good too. But man my 60 ft times still suck. Right at 2 seconds all day. I know I'm not getting wot right off the line, but I'm trying to keep the front wheel down so I'm short shifting first to second. But other than that I'm at a loss. I was pretty happy with the day, since I was so consistent. But I'd really like to get those 60's down. Any advice? |

Work on clutch control. If your not bringing the front end up a little your probably slipping it to much. If your using all four fingers on the clutch lever try using just three or two. It may feel a little uncomfortable at first but you will get use to it. What kinda gear are you running. If you have a big front drive gear you are killing your torque for trap speed. Just my two cents hope this helps. |

Yeah I'm on the 1125. Running here in Fayetteville getting ready for Rockingham in May. I wasn't able to run my bars this weekend because like an idiot, I planned on setting up at the track, and left my strut at home. I know once I learn to run with the bars, I can be a lot more agressive off the line, but still, 2 second 6o ft times just suck. Everything is really smooth, and I really like the consistency, but the bike will do so much more. |

didnt know yall had a track in fayettnam. like willie said, youre on the clutch too much if the front isnt up at all. but at the same time - if youre planning on putting bars on it then dont worry about it, put the bars on and run like hell! |

Even is you put bars on it your 60 ft is still all in the clutch. If you think your going to put bars on it then just dump the clutch and go let me know how that works for yah. You will still have to ride the clutch some if not you will just unload on the wheelie bar and lift your back tire off the ground. That will be counter productive on the whole 60' issue. |

Willie - I agree to a point. To a point only because I have had luck, at time (depending on track etc), with dumping the clutch on the red bike. MOst of the time though, youre spot on, I let the clutch out very quickly, but not dumping it, still using clutch control. And this is on my red bike, 80whp, not on a 1125 with bars, so it'll be a bit different for sure with the added power. |

I expect it to be better with the bars on it, and I'm not too concerned at this time with breaking the rear tire loose with bars. I don't think it's pushing that kind of power. I'll do some clutch work this weekend. I just don't think I should be depending on bars to get my 60's below 1.9 seconds |

agreed on your last comment. As for breaking the tire loose withthe power youre making - it all depends on setup. I've spun on my red bike making 50whp less than your 1125 cause my bars were set wrong. |
