So I have a very clean, low mileage 06 Uly. I have had it a few months, put a few thousand miles on. This bike has a Drummer muffler, K&N filter, Buell race ECU and has been mapped by Drummer. Ran great with no engine light at first.... I am getting a consistent solid check engine light lately, and it is always code 13, O2 sensor. Since this first started, I have replaced the O2 sensor with a new Bosch unit, replaced intake seals (no sign of leakage from old seals), removed and cleaned injectors and fuel rail, etc. Injectors seem to be flowing well when I spray cleaner through them. I have replaced the spark plugs, the front cyl. looks borderline lean, the rear very lean. I am having a hard time deciding what to check out next. has anyone had this issue, constant, recurring O2 sensor error? looking for advice on what direction to go in , thanks in advance |

Check electrical manual troubleshooting diagrams for error 13, there are all necessary steps. Maybe fuel pump is bad or fuel pump assembly components and the system does not deliver necessary fuel pressure. |

I have over 100k on my 06, I replaced 02 sensors every 30k or so, after the 3rd one, they started lasting about 5-10k before throwing the code. My bike never ran bad, except for a few skip spark episodes at high speeds (90+). Plugs always looked good, fuel mileage only slightly suffered (down maybe 5 mpg). I tried an experiment and ran a new wire from my o2 sensor to the ecm. That was 15k ago. No CELs since, no skip spark and mpg is back to what it was. Worth a shot. |

I replaced my O2 sensor recently on my 06 Uly, 28k miles. I looked at both the Bosch and the Nippon sensor. Went with the Nippon. You could tell just by handling it, the Nippon was the better of the two. Still going strong! Knock on wood...... |

NTK 21002 is the Nippon. Usually $15-20 at the parts store or online. |

I had a persistent code 13, but only at freeway speeds. I replaced the O2 sensor as well as rebuilt the fuel pump and checked for intake seal leaks to no avail. The problem ended up being the hose from the California emissions canister leaking right where it ties into the throttle body. The leak was (hose cracked) under the velocity stack and on bottom so I didn't see it at first. I also re-zeroed the TPS at the same time. Several hundred miles since and no check engine light |

Update... several hundred miles later, Code 13 is back. No frickin idea. Has anyone solved this?? |
