St Paul does not list Buell speed sensor 72191-94. Can one off a 06 sportster work?

Im not 100% positive in your situation. But yes, the pigtail may be a different length, or perhaps a different clip. On my 03xb9r the sportster one was the same, just longer wires

I replaced the speed sensor in my 08 with a sportster sensor. From what I remember, they were all the same.

But as far as wires, there shouldn't be any wires on them. It's literally a plug in the crankcase if I remember right. Maybe the 2008+ models were different

I looked this up now and see that the older Sportsters used the plug/wire combo.

I guess my input doesn't apply here. Mine was the sensor plug alone.

Good luck guys!
