I'm thinking of upgrading my horn but I don't want to relocate it and reengineer things. Is there a good upgrade to the stock horn? What have you done with your horn?

Those Stebel Nautilus horns are terrifying.
Lots here have mashed one under the flyscreen.

They take a lot of juice so you have to set up a relay with a direct to battery wire.
It's one of the things that "on my list".

Looks like they come with a relay too:

In one of the video's on Amazon they show you can separate the compressor from the horn and just run a hose between the two. Might make it easier to mount under the flyscreen.

That's a pretty slick idea.
Hide the electrical crap from the weather and bugs; leave the horn out where it will perform for your intended audience.

separate the compressor from the horn On the Uly I mounted the whole Stebel under the wind screen. Now, on Lil Red, an XB12Scg, I separated the compressor from the air horn. The horn went under the fly screen and the compressor went under the airbox cover behind the air filter. I ran a clear air hose between them.

I replaced the stock horn with a Fiamm Freeway Blaster. Bolted where the stock horn was, just trimmed it a little with a hack saw so it wouldn’t rub the fly screen. Plugged it into stock wiring, no relay, no problems. It’s about 130db, pretty loud. I hit the button on accident the other day, and scared myself!
Cheap, simple, effective.

Low tone Fiamm Freeway Blaster is a really good choice. No relay required.

You can adjust the factory horn (for free)...but do it when nobody's home. It's about as exciting as tuning a piano.

Start the bike so you have running voltage going to it. On the back of the horn, there is either (depending on who built it) a dab of black silicone that fills a small hole, or there's a splined shaft coming out that you can grab with pliers. Either turn the shaft in/out to adjust the sound/volume/tone, or clean out the silicone to expose the set screw underneath, and turn that in/out to adjust.

Make sure the bike is running. If you set it with the bike off...then start the bike...it'll sound completely different.

That said, I have a Stebel under my flyscreen and it fit just fine, even with relays for my HID, my LED high beam, the relay for the stebel, the relay for my aux lights, the wiring for my heated grips and GPS mount, and for my voltmeter.

It's ten pounds of shit in a five pound bag...but it's all in there.

I installed one of these on my 07 Uly and when I tested it unmounted it was awesome. As soon as I bolted it to the bike, it sounded like a sick cow. Do I have a grounding problem?

Check the ground first. If not, check the power wire with a voltmeter. If voltage is off, it could be the switch.
