Hey, Anyone try an exhaust from Buelltooth?

I'm thinking of getting one over the winter and wondering if I should just get the slip on or the SS. Hoping the new tune that comes with it would correct some of my running issues as well. How would you jack the bike afterwards.

Opinion, ALERT! Not havin' touched or heard in person. The BTxhaust systems look amazing in their simplicity. If you get the SuperTrapp system, it appears you should buy an extra 5 discs for it. That will move the disc quantity to 17. I don't like that it will dump heat in a clump in front of the rear tire. Now for the bargain seeker they have a simple stainless option that looks to be very light. At $225, I'd still think about putting together my own kit. If you like the chin spoiler on your bike, you will need the $70 mounting kit.

I agree with Ourdee's opinion: )
I have the full SuperTrapp system on the STT now, and have also had the cone muffler on the same system.

I actually had issues with my diesel truck and heat in the left rear tire. 1600* turbo outlet temp is very different than a Buell V-twin. I think it helps keep my Michelin PP5 warm and sticky; ) But thats just a guess... It certainly doesn't feel terribly hot but that reminds me to carry the laser thermometer with me for the next fast ride! I'll post up what I find.

I've played with different amounts of disks on the supertrapp, even the max amount and it's loud (I think it sounds good), but not nearly KEDA level, lol.

The cone muffler is more 'snappy' and piercing to me, but not overwhelming. The turn out on the tip makes a HUGE difference in volume and lowers the tone quite a bit. I don't know if Buelltooth sells them straight or turned right now.

I really like the way it trimmed up and lightened the look of my STT, IMO that bike shouldn't have a chin spoiler anyway.

I've never jacked up any Buell of mine by the muffler, but you can still get a bottle jack up to the case if it's on a lift. I think a $40 paddock stand is way more stable, even more than any homemade plywood cradle thing and easier to move around. IMO.
If thats your thing, You could make a lower case cradle that goes around the small BT exhaust anyway.

I think those exhausts are the best deal around, and so far mine has help up perfectly!
Heres a terrible shot of the cone one with a turnout

And a worse shot of the SuperTrapp, sorry, I can get better ones if you need.

Shoggin, I disagree that's a terrible shot. Very artistic with the beach and sunset!

Well its a terrible shot of the exhaust...: )

There were these crazy purply-blue skies that day so I stopped on my home to stare for awhile. Didn't really come through on the i-phone camera but cool in person!

After my stock muffler's active exh. valve failed I went with Buelltooth's XB-ST exhaust. The setup saves over 8 lbs compared to stock and is very nicely finished. The box contains everything needed to install the muffler although the directions are a bit sparse. I scaled back to ten discs because I thought that the full twelve were just a bit loud. The ECM map provided by Buelltooth feels like it works quite well.

I have not had to remove a wheel yet and I am not quite sure how I am going to go about lifting the bike.

I put a ladder straddling my bike. Then use ratchet straps to lift it, and put blocks of wood under it.

Even a Harbor Freight paddock stand seems much easier than all that. But to each their own: )

I have a loop through bolted through the rafter above my ceiling. I ratchet strap from the rear loop for the back wheel and from the handle bar brace for the from the front wheel... super easy and works great.
- Seriously eye-balling that stainless pipe. I'm glad it's getting good reviews.

This is a neat trick, and can be used with little jack stands. Can't pull off the rear wheel though...

Thanks everyone. I now have to decide on either the ss or the other non st exhaust.

It will be a winter project though.
