So, I swapped Uly suspension onto my SS. Needless to say, the side stand is too short. Any tips on replacing it? Assembly mounted to the frame can stay, correct?

Maybe someone has tried an extension?

The shaft is simply thin steel tubing. I would cut the foot off, find some steel tube/ pipe to fit inside. Weld it to the foot and slide it in to what ever length you need and weld in place. Leave it overlap into the tube as far as possible.

Great idea. I’m not much of a welder, but I can probably find someone who is!

you could carry around a chunk of 2X4 until you find someone who will weld it ... or indefinitely

If you swapped their suspensions, can't you swap their kickstands?

I didn’t swap suspension on two bikes, but got some stuff from a member and replaced the the stock stuff on the SS. For now, I’ve got a block of wood to prop it up.

Clever types cut a wood block to fit and with ample use of duct tape.....

Have mercy you guys;

https://www.ebay.com/itm/06-Buell-Ulysses-XB12X-Ki ckstand-Side-Stand-Kick/401590822396?fits=Model%3A Ulysses%7CMake%3ABuell&hash=item5d80ada5fc:g:e4MAA OSw2XJbhwA4

Also, there are number of aftermarket adjustable side stands on ebay. from China of course, no idea if they work but cheap.

Tleighbell,

Thanks for the link. I got one from ebay just in case I ever want to switch suspensions back.

I'll rephrase my original question. Wisea$$ remarks are invited to remain inside the heads of those without productive input.

The stand mounting assembly (bolted to the motor) does not HAVE to be removed, correct? I can just remove the spring, pin, and replace?
