Was thinking of ordering Barnett #306-30-20015 but the vendor's software generated an error saying it doesn't fit the bike.

Have I got the part number wrong?

Thanks,

You've got the right part number, Greg. I installed that same one on my 2008 Uly this spring. Ordered it from Fortnine:

Will do. Likely a winter project though.

Hey Greg, did you manage to gather all the pieces for the XB9 primary, and will that be part of the winter project?

Exactly right Doug. Got everything I need to do some major maintenance. 3 bearing wheel too.
I've asked about a 3 phase stator in another thread in case that's also an option while I'm in there anyway.

Greg, Might call Roadster Cycles and see is they have one. I thought they used to sell a three phase stator. Not sure though.

Ourdee, I emailed Jack and he suggested I find a Cycle Electric CE-6014. Pictures of the CE-6014 I can find show only two wires so it wouldn't be 3 phase. And it's listed as a direct replacement for my bike which is single phase (two phase). So... I'm looking for other options. Other years/models had 3 phase but I don't know what would fit or if the rotor would need swapping as well.

I got a 3 phase stator from Cycle Electric last year. Try contacting them. I’ve read on this site that the Accel #152111 also works, with modifications to the plug.

Thanks for chiming in Motorfish.Any idea what part numbers were involved on your bike? I'm hoping to use rotor # 30018-08, part of an XB9 primary conversion.

I believe I have the CE-6014 stator. I have an 08 crank but I’m pretty sure I have the 06 rotor. I don’t remember having to get an 08. I think the rotors are the same between those years. Others here can confirm that. I know that the stator is 3 phase and the Shindengen VR works with single(2 wire) or 3 (3wire) phase stators. I don’t know about the XB9 primary conversion, but there’s a lot of information and folks here who know about it.

Looking in my Buell parts book, the rotor with sprocket for 06 is part number 32494-04, so I must have the 08-10 rotor. I had the Dark Horse 08 crank put in, which obviously has the 08 rotor. Hope this helps.

That's a huge help. Thanks. Once I get this sorted I'll take some photos and post the part numbers for anyone else going down this path.
