Has anybody found a source for powdercoat to match the magnesium colored wheels?
My powdercoater can’t find it from his suppliers.

Wheels were made in China if i recall correctly. If they were powder coated there that could be the problem with matching the color.

I am a paint guy. Are you looking to redo your stock wheels for surface damage or color change other powder coated wheels?

Using the standard paint preparation protocols, the factory powder coat holds urethane automotive paints very well.

Take the correct color rim to a paint shop, they can match colors. People have shipped stuff to me for matching colors on Buells where no color codes exist.

I did mine 11 years ago, no chips or scratches yet! That, even through several tire changes and a couple of rounds of bearings.

It must be high quality paint to last though.

You know your black wheel won't have the reinforcing strip that the UlyX magnesium wheels have, right?
