Has anybody found a good high mileage sport touring or ADV tire? I've been getting about 7k out of the last 3 tires and I want something that will go a little longer. I know the K60's last a long time but that's too dirt biased for my needs.

I'm probably going to pull the trigger on some Avon Trailriders this spring...

Yes I saw on another thread here that people were liking them. Anybody know how long they last on this bike?

I bought the Anakee III based on some reviews saying they'll last 10k on a big GS but I'll be lucky to get 7k out of them. Also got 7k out of the Shinko 705's and 6k on Pirelli Scorpion Trails.

I have an 06. Came with Dunlop D 660. It did 6,500. Then went to Pirelli Scorpion Sync. First one did 6,000, next 5,500, the last one did 3,500. Went to Michelin Pilot Road II. First went 11,000, second would have gone that far but for being road hacked by a sharp rock at 7,500. As an emergency replacement put on a Pilot Road I, 3,000 miles had chords. Replaced it emergency like with a Contenental Conti III. Looks like it will be gone in 3,500 to 4,000

Without question the Michelin Pilot Road II was the best handling wet or dry.

That is my story and I'm sticking to it.

I run PR's on all my bikes currently. Awesome tire, great treadlife... on dirt. Too thin.

I miss getting my Uly muddy, so I'm going back to an ADV tire.

I miss the D616; what an awesome tire. Not exactly long-life...but dirt-cheap. If they'd re-issue that tire, in a dual compound...I'd be all over it.

fwiw, 09 XB12X

Pirelli Angel GT -- about 9K on rear, not an ADV tire
Pirelli Scorpion Trail II -- 7.5K on rear
Metzeler Tourance Next -- about 5K on rear

also had
Dunlop 660 and Pirelli Synch both about 3K on rear

PR2 was my longest lasting (rear) - 9.3k
I've wondered about the PR3 and PR4, do they last as long?
I'm currently trying Conti Trial Attack 2, but only have a couple thousand on them, so far.

2006 Uly - for me, the worst mileage (rear) tires were Pirelli Diablos, 2500-3000 miles, and the best mileage tires were the Road Pilot 3 - ~5800 miles.

Screamer, Those Pirelli Diablos were glued to the road. I put Angels on afterwards and thought they were greasy till I calmed my right hand back down. Wish I was rich enough to run Diablos full time.
