So a customer was in today, he's a big ADV style rider (wee-strom, GS-A, couple other toys in the garage), and he was telling me that Touratech is about to put out a new, east coast "Mid Atlantic Back Country Discovery Route" ride map. Release date scheduled for 2/1/18.

THIS, I'm gonna have to try...been looking for an excuse to toss Avon Trailmasters on the ol' Uly and start getting 'er dirty again...

I would have been all over that upcoming ride when I was ten years younger. Looks like pure awsomness.

Nowadays I feel fortunate to ride a couple hundred miles in a day around my neighborhood on smooth pavement.

They just get more and more dirty to a point and then it just flakes off.
Leaves a pesky clean spot.

Having had you lead me around that "couple hundred miles" at a merry pace a few years back...I might beg to differ .

Perhaps I should say "muddy again". Had PR4's on it for this last tire cycle, since they quit making the 616. I miss my fire roads!

Although, there is an annoying clean spot - a smartass coworker thought it would be funny to clean HALF of my flyscreen. I told him that's going to cause loss of control via unstoppable headshake...

After breaking a brake lever on a trip, I bought new and drilled holes in clutch and brake lever arms. This is an old dirt bike trick. It forces the break at the hole, still giving you a workable lever.

My old 1980 KLX250 has stubby levers.
I don't know if such a thing is available for a street bike but They work damn well at not breaking.

Yep. CRG is a brand that comes to mind; there are also countless chinese knockoffs out there.
