Does anyone know if ECM spy can be used to 'look at' and IDS ecm?

The "free" ECMspy is not compatible with any EBR/IDS ECMs, it stopped being updated long before those came out. The paid/donation version works with them.

Froggy, has there been any knowledge of spy v. 2, corrupting a id's ecm whether intentional or not? Email to id's confirmed that mishaps have happened using spy with their product. Being a version 2 person, I specifically asked that question. At 250.00 to reprogram my original ecm and then use the cmi lite for maintenance, then the price has approached the value of their programmable ecm. Just running value of money spent as to value of what you need and receive to function. The description of reflashing my stock ecm, said to me that their firmware will be in the ecm then and that is what makes spy unable to be used for maintenance, etc. My bueib will no longer be bueib , it would be whatever id's creates it to be. That is the license from ecmspy that I bought is for 05 / 07 bueib ecm.
Nothing right or wrong here, just have to adapt to the folks who are kind enough to keep these bike's parts flowing in whatever form it can come in.
Curious as to those that have purchased an id's ecm that is fully programmable, has it been worth the bucks and are you able to do all of maintenance that your machine requires?

From what I've seen, it is the old 1.x versions (free one) that cause the corruption. I've seen people use the 2.x (paid) version on the EBR/ECMs successfully, but I do not own the paid ECMspy to confirm/deny that first hand.

I have the IDS programmable ECM on my 1190SX, and it works great. The software for it is quite a bit more advanced than ECMspy, it is a lot more like TunerPro, but without being a pain in the ass to install.

My 1190 doesn't require me to plug in to do maintence, so I've only used it for remapping and adjusting my gearing, so I can't comment on how hard it is to use for clearing codes or TPS resets.
