Looking to replace the worn out "push pin" style mounting hardware for my windscreen and replace it with some well nuts and rubber washers. Does anyone know off hand what diameter the holes in the flyscreen are? I won't have a chance to pull the flyscreen and measure for myself for a couple days. Thanks!

I think there was a recall on the mounting hardware for our windscreens but hopefully someone else will chime in. If you just want to buy them, Lance at St Paul HD should have them. His website is posted in one of these resent threads.

Recall doesn't affect any XTs, they have the post-recall hardware stock. The recall was for the accessory tall windshield on 06 X's, originally it had 4 push pins for mounting, post recall changed the lowers to require you to use tools to remove.

I don't have sizing info off hand, best I know the push pins are still available, might be worth just getting another pair of them and swapping them in, or getting another set of the lower bolts.

Indeed you are correct, looking at the dates of the program. I thought it was taken care of before the XT came out

Yea there were two different recalls, so I'm not going crazy as I thought. The first recall which I was thinking about was for the accessory tall windscreen back before the XT came out - http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/B064-263610.pdf

The XT came with the tall screen. Where the X came with the short one unless you went for the accessory. I think it was all sorted out in the supply for 09. Correct me if I'm wrong; I believe the X always came with the short screen.
