2009 Uly in heated storage all winter and ran fine all last summer when put in storage. Pulled it out of storage, charged up battery and it started right up but only on the rear cylinder. Warmed it up and reved it quite a bit but no go. Took it for a brisk 5 mile run still no go. Just pulled the air box and wiggled and pushed the electrical connector no go. Just wondering if I missed any tricks prior to attempting to remove the injector as it looks REAL tight in there.

So you're thinking it's stuck closed?
Usually injectors seem to stick open and dribble when they are supposed to be closed.
If it was left for any amount of time, I would look it over very carefully for mouse damage to the wiring.

You sure it is an injector? Usually it is the spark plug or plug wires that are the issue when running on only one cylinder.

Froggy, first thing I checked...great spark and clean plugs.

Natexlh1000, understood. thats what I thought as well. There was no smell of unburnt fuel at muffler and no backfiring on deceleration. I know it was a bit risky, but I cranked it with the plug wires grounded and the throttle plate wide open while using a small mirror in the throttle body. Fuel spray from the rear injector but none from the front. going to see if I can disconnect the electrical connector on the injector and clean it up if theres any sign of corrosion. Wish me luck.

Could be a faulty injector or a problem with wiring to the injector. Maybe plug a test light into the leads to the injector and see if it flashes with the engine running?

If the wiring is OK, seems like it's a bad injector. IIRC, injectors are same as some late model Fords, and may even have a Motorcraft part number. You may be able to pick a replacement cheap at your local auto parts store.

Heh! I was about to say the same thing. I haven't seen a 'Shack in a long long time.

Also, I have one of those on my ironhead in paralel with the points. Mounted it on my points cover : )
Good for setting the static timing. (also fun to watch.

Bit of a bitch getting the connector unplugged from the injector in situ but got it. Tested good signal, figured injector for sure now but burnished the contacts a bit, they looked clean but what do you know, it fire on both cylinders after a good cleaning. Took it for a brisk ride and front tire lifts in first thee gears so all good and off to Alaska. Should have put some dielectric grease on them but was so exited its running I forgot. Thanks for the heads up on the test light and alternate source for an injector, may need that down the road.
