Some sharp-eyed guys who are at the EBR auction in East Troy this week spotted this very interesting Ulysses among the bikes for sale (pics lifted from Facebook):

AX 4

Note the air compressor on the triple tale complete with solenoid valves and wiring. Tubing runs from this to the rear shock and front forks. Here are a few more pics:

AX2

AX3

Apparently EBR was experimenting with pneumatically adjustable suspension on this bike. I'd sure like to know how far along they were on the project.

Too bad this didn't make it to market.

It was probably setup to buck the intern off the bike.

^ It does kind of look that way, but what else would they put air adjustable suspension on? I suppose they could fit such a system to the RX and SX, and a lot of sport bike buyers are apparently looking for that sort of gadgetry.

It is possible it was from the Buell days like the 1125firebolt prototype that is behind it. Then again your guess makes more sense.

Did anyone notice the bike in the background in the pic of the EBR race bike on LAP auction site? It sure looked like an adventure bike of some sort. Wonder if it was a prototype? I couldn't get the pic to post.

We're all those bikes in that pic for sale somewhere?

Yea, I think that bike has been identified as one of these:

It's a CSC 250cc ADV bike, Chinese made I believe. It actually looks pretty cool.

The bike you are talking about is a Chinese bike called the Cyclone RX3. 250cc knockoff GS Adventure but only $4k. http://www.cscmotorcycles.com/2017-RX3-Adventure-p /zrx3-2017.htm

The tubes to the forks reminds me of the old RR1000 30 years ago.

It actually did not "Buck" and was something that no one has ever done on any vehicle.

Just a guess on my part… I could be wrong.

I'll admit it looks decent. It has a whopping 24hp and 16ft lbs of torque. Lmao

Looks like EBR was trying to revive the old jap touring bikes with the on board compressor and blend it with the high end off-road vehicles. Just hit the setting on a new jeep and that sucker raises 8 inches to a predetermined height. Pretty cool but they are always loaded with problems down the road! I'll stick with my knob turning!
