I'm not having any ridabilty problems. It idles and runs great! Wouldn't the bike run bad? | ||

The sensor is expected to put out a range of voltages. Like up to 1V. If it is doing something that the computer is not expecting, it would raise a red flag. I would suggest feeling up the wire that comes off of the sensor to see if it has rubbed through or something. My X1 used to throw a code if the exhaust was loose. The circuit needs a ground reference. | ||

Well I fixed it. I checked the O2 wire and made sure the exhaust valve was working along with the usual things and you guys were right, it was the O2 sensor. I saw it was quite a project to get it out so I used an old trick I learned years ago. I got the engine good and hot. Then sprayed some carb cleaner to clean up the butterfly and throttle body. Then a Stream of distilled water thru the intake while rev it. Steam clean it from the inside out. The plugs and Pistons looked like new and I'm sure the O2 looked the same. Hopefully I can get a few more years out of it before I have to pull it apart. Thanks everyone for your help with that code! |
