As long as we can keep Sportsters or anything else on the road. I've yet to find a part I couldn't replace when I wanted or needed to.

What year? A 2008 and later will have a lot longer life than a 2007 and earlier before it's first major rebuild.

Eh, I disagree. The top end is what usually wears first, ring seal and valve seals. But those are an easy fix and will likely fixable for another 40-50 years lol.

Long as you're willing to pay.
Or until the last XB frame & swing arm are junked.

And in the unlikely event that engine parts become an issue, you can just put Fatboy engine in it

I took a xb12, took a engine out of a 2004 fatboy, then i bored, stroked, cammed, and upped the compression, slapped it in the xb12s frame, it took me two years to get everything to work, but it dynod at 162hp and 134 torque at 3200 rpm. I used it for drag racing, and the one time i rode it on teb street, it had a mating session with a tree.

I sadly dont have pictures, never thought to take any, and the few i did have were on my phone, but it was destroyed in the accident. You dont have to belive me, i have no proof so why would you.

I was being facetious; I don't doubt it happened, I'm just jealous we don't have pictures to bask in its glory.

To be honest, it wasnt worth it. I could have made more power, much easier, by just turboing the xb12. It makes a cool story, but adapting the motor to fit in the frame was such a giant hassle. All of the mounting points were different obviously, i had to trim the barrels so far, i had to add a secondary fan, just to help with heat. And so many other things.
