Thanks Ray, but I did find the manual and tool kit... It was in one of the side cases.

I've been running the Rotella 15-40 non syn for quite some time. It seems to be good stuff. I change it at 3000 miles, and in the heat of summer I found that a half pint of Lucas or STP can be a good thing also.

My Uly is at 61,000+ and still runs and sounds great with no smoke and it looses/uses about a pint of oil in 3000 miles.

HD Formula + is a safe go to for the trans. I change it at 6000 mile intervals.

For you NC guys, for gee whiz, you have a neighbor in Pikeville. I bet your roads are a lot better for riding than mine are out east, lol. Cheers!

Little Switzerland meet is coming up soon. I'm going to try to make it at least for a day trip on Saturday.

Any chance you will make it?

Vern, yeah I hope to make it there.... I think I have company that weekend coming from out of town, but I really do want to make it up there. It will be a day trip for me as well. Have a friend with a Lightning that might show as well.... Let me know as it gets closer if Sat will be good....

The Amen corner over here. I ran AmsOil Synthetic in my Uly, both holes without any problems. In the Scg I have now, I'm going to stick with the HD Formula+ in the 1 quart hole on the side of the engine. That quart bathes the Gears, Clutch, Primary Drive, and Stator. Every 6000 miles will work for it unless you do short trips in cold weather. Drain for 1 quart is under the left side of the engine. Make sure it is the drain and not the primary chain adjustment bolt. The other oil hole is on top of the swing arm. It likes 2 and 1/2 quarts with a filter change. Until you know the difference in filters the HD filter for the Buell is a safe choice. My bike has a K&N oil filter, but I'll probably go back the the HD/Buell filter next change. You can change the 2 and 1/2 quarts out every 3,000 miles as a safe service interval. 2 and 1/2 quarts drain is under the left front of the rear swing arm. Pick up a set of o-rings for those drain plugs and put a drop of oil on each one prior to installing. I'm not belittling you. I just remember having to learn a lot of new to me stuff when I got my Uly.
