Does anyone have a Madstad windshield & bracket on their bike. If so, which one and how do you like it? Does it work the way you want it to?

I do and I like it. I bought the tallest shield they had at the time but now they make one taller. I have it down and back most of the time but if it gets cold or wet then it goes up and out. It gets noisy in this position but protects much better. I always wear ear plugs so it doesn't bother me.

I also have one and like it a lot. I have the 18" shield. I ran the Madstad brackets with XT windshield for a year. Never liked the buffeting so I got the Madstad 18" to beat I10 to Texas. Worked great in full up and tilted forward. Reduced the buffeting by a bunch. Great folks to deal with also. Very helpful.

I have one also, mine rattles a little so I made some braces.

Mine came with a stronger black metal flyscreen to replace the stock plastic one.

I have a Madstad on a dl 650 and it works great. I took one off the Uly because the buffeting was annoying as well as the wiggling. I removed the bracket and mounted just the the shield and I liked it better. Im just saying because everyone has different torso length and arm length. Just and inch or two makes a big difference. The service is pretty good too.
If the weather is good the stock shield provides me with the cleanest air. Go figure.

I've got the Madstad AL flyscreen with brackets and have the taller XT touring shield mounted. I haven't been motivated enough to try anything bigger as the adjustability gives me more than stock & good enough for what I have done so far. I also have their flyscreen with no holes which is what I run 95% of the time. I did have some rattling / vibration at certain RPMs but it was just my horn. Bent the bracket back a little & no more issues. In general I love both of their products & they were nice to work with.

I have no problems with the Madstad set up. I have the tinted 18" madstad screen and its a well made shield. Been running it for 30K with no problems.

So it works ok with the factory flyscreen? Madstad seems to want you to change it to their black flyscreen.

I have Madstad brackets and the OEM Tall windshield. I've had no issues with fitment or any rattling. It gives a good envelope of protection - I'm 6' 1" tall - It's been on my bike for c6000 miles.

It may work (with holes drilled) with the stock flyscreen in most scenarios, but one thing I noticed while riding in Kansas (home of the big wind) is I really had to tighten the screws when I was riding in 40+ mph headwind with the screen pushed forward. A LOT of stress is put on the brackets and flyscreen in that scenario.
I had one on my VStrom as well and loved it. I like this on my Uly as well, but have fewer miles on it. Huge improvement for me over the CalSci the bike came with. I am 6'1" riding the tall seat with 2" bar risers. Your mileage may vary...

Ks-
"Huge improvement for me over the CalSci the bike came with"
This is what Im talking about.. everyone is different.
CalSci worked great for me until I dumped it and it broke.
Plus mounting grommets need to be replaced after about a year at a cost of $10.

IMO I think madstad is the nicest looking big screen.
I wish I could have worked out the buffeting and wiggle issues.
Mine came with plates to reinforce factory flyscreen.
Not sure if they offered a metal flyscreen when I got mine but that may solve the wiggle.
Still have it on the shelf. Nice clean product.
