Can the XB heads be improved much on the flow bench ? Is there a hotter cam option without giving up torque or top end or reliability ? I have a 05 CityX and wondering how much power can be had with some individual attention . Any suggestions appreciated , what Shops also. |

Yes and maybe, but an XB9 may not be able to use the hotter cam. Talk to any of our performance oriented sponsors... Cycle Rama, Revolution Performance, Hal's Speed Shop, Johnson Engine Technology... etc... Let us know what you finally decide. Fun stuff for sure! |

Red Shift has a couple grinds that seem like they'd be a good choice. The XB heads can be improved up just like any other. Any of the shops mentioned above are good places to start. |

I know of a shop (not a sponsor here) that does some amazing things with the XB heads. Much can be had there. As far as cams go, I think Red Shift is the only company that makes hotter cams for our bikes since things are all reversed from the XL engines. I don't think you'd lose power anywhere, but you'll likely make more gains in some places than others. |

"I think Red Shift is the only company that makes hotter cams for our bikes" http://www.revperf.com/XL/xlCamshafts.html And they are a sponsor. If you give the folks at Hals, JET Engine Tech, or Cycle Rama a call, they can each probably educate you further on what other performance cams are out there for the XBikes. |
