I know it's blasphemy. But I know I'd ride the S2 more with a more upright riding position. I don't want her to become a garage queen. (I can always return her to stock.)

Can I use an S1-S3-S3T triple clamp and tube bars to give a more relaxed riding position?

If so, does anyone have one for sale?

Not sure what the difference in riding position would be, the S2 is pretty upright to begin with.
It would require a full set-up (bars, controls , levers, and grips) since the S2 uses 1" bars while the S3 and others all have 7/8"

All the S2 had was a pair of cut-up HD bars mounted to fork tube clamps. If you find a used, slightly bent set of S2 bars and know a good welder or machine shop...you can make a set of out just about any Harley bar you can find.

Anyone know what the donor bars were for the S2 and S2T?

Standard (S2) bars are available, N0002.8SS for right side, $67.00; N0003.8SS left side, $67.00. S2T (tall) bars come up with "invalid part number".

Tall (T) bars are not available. Regular S2 bars are still available for around $67 per side.

One of the machinists on the site here gave a very detailed posting of making a set of S2 handlebars.

I've got a similar idea that I haven't got around to yet. Need access to a mill and a lathe once I get the mockup done and dimensions right.

54mm clip-on mounts above the top triple tree and the appropriate bars will give you another option (I think one of the Ducati models uses 54mm clipons).

In the mean time here's the results of a quick google search:

I see the tall bars on eBay quite regularly.
Al used to sell an adjustable set of bars for the S-2.
