Im pulling off my Force pipe this weekend and installing factory header and my new Supertrapp/ My Force pipe does not have a front exhaust hanger. The Supertrapp didnt come with any type of hanger up front. The header doesnt have a hanger. I was at the dealer today and they told me they no longer make this because it would break all the time. Can anybody tell me if i indeed need this and what am i looking for? Part # would help greatly.

You will definitely need the front hangar. I just had Trapp put on along w/ the front hangar upgrade. You can search " Buell Service Bulletin B-032", and you will get the PDF download. It's actually a kit, part# is S1001.01A1. The kit includes a much beefier hangar, hardware and relocation parts for voltage regulator. Mine was about 80.00 w/ dealer discount. There are also aftermarket alternatives, but they cost more and don't address the regulator relocation. BTW, I have a 2K X1.

American Sport Bike has the kit from Buell for 94.00. Includes everything, part is #17036. Try calling Chicago Harley, I got mine there and they have a 20% discount, use the part# in previous post.

Ssss99x1:

You want EXHAUST HEADER MOUNT KIT
PN S1001.01A1 ...

This is the last up-date on the front muffler mount which was on all TUBE FRAME BUELLS from 2001 to the last model year 2002 ...

The part SUPPORT,header PN 65784-96YA did not brake ... The problem was the MUFFLER MOUNT PN 65884095YA which were rubber bushings(one on each side did not last very long) ... American Sport Bike out of Calif. had some better quality bushings which only lasted twice as long ...

"i" tried them, but to fix peroblem the above kit went on ...

If this representive of that HARLEY-DAVIDSON Dealership told you this with out telling you about this kit indicates they do not know "BUELLschitte" ...

Go back and ask them for this kit PN S1001.01A1 ... If they say they do have it, tell them to do a Dealer search in the United States for it, then world wide ...
If thay then tell you it is no longer avalible they will eventually get around to trying to sell you a Sportster or BIG TWIN ...

Try BUELL Service at (414)343-8400 which is HARLEY-DAVIDSON ...

If you do call BUELL Service be sure to tell them this:

"HARLEY-DAVIDSON Dealers, making MECHANICs out of BUELL Riders since 1984 !!!"
