I'm trying to sell my bike, not so actively because I enjoy it quite a lot :-)

Anyways, its seems to me KBB and NADA are way off the map when it comes to the XB (I've been focused on the 9 but it's probably true for the 12).

Looking at the posts, I made myself a chart using the last published price for all XB9 being sold. I understand it's probably not desirable to have that done automatically, but what about giving ourselves a space to publish this to help others build and adjust their prices?
Data like the date, price, location, model, mileage, amount of upgrades, time to sell and price drop should be highly valuable...

Also I'm looking for a rule to properly compensate for the mileage of a bike.

On a more personal side, my idea for my own sale is to keep a "reserve" price for my bike and keep adding goodies rather than lowering the price. It makes parting with the bike all the more difficult but since I foresee a long wait for the sale this gives me some time to use the goodies.
What do you think, is it the way you would do it if you could afford it?

Okay, I think you mean you want to know how much your bike is worth if you wanted to sell it? Well, I agree, first a given price for a certain model, then add $$$ for the options/accessories that are added. I think if a bike I was interested in was within a few hundred miles, then thats worth more to me, because I don't want to have to ship one...good luck!

Well I'm also saying that unfortunately, our bikes both take a long time to sell and loose much value in very few months.

It's probably less true for the tubers as fewer units were produced so there might be a "collector" effect. But XBs are worth less than what the books say as they sell for less.

Of course it doesn't help that some of us are actually in a hurry to sell since they lower their prices to do so.
Even the other way, it seems that a bike simply won't sell for months until advertised at the lowest price. This also builds up the vicious circle of "the longer it's for sale the more money the owner looses".

The main purpose of my spreadsheet would be informative, but maybe we should stick together and try to make our bikes old their values by not "outbidding" each other negatively.
