I just repacked my V&H and remounted it, thanks American Sport Bike, started it up and it won't idle? I throttled it to keep it going and sounded weird....like running on one cylinder? Took it around the block and sounded and ran like crap...no torque... no power...then all of a sudden it came alive and runs better than ever, sounds awesome...much deeper and less tinny. I have also noticed that the cracking, popping, and sputtering have stopped. Could this been caused by having no guts in the ss2r V&H can....I had to replace the perforated tube with the packing. Seems good but worried about the inital startup when it sounded like one cylinder....kind of freaked me out thought the motor was cooked

Anybody had this happen to them, advice, like I said it seems fine and I have put 20km's on it and runs great, love the torque and the sound.

Sounds like a plug fouled and came back to life.

I had just changed the plugs 3 weeks ago...new NGK's should last longer than that right....might be though...it seem's to have smoothed out also and runs great. I'd check the packing if it was mine 90,000 is a little extreme but that's just my .02. I've only put 8000 on and the perforated tube separated and melted with out any sign of packing.

Make sure your exhaust mounting bolts are on good.
Your oxygen sensor depends upon the ground reference to work.
