Does anyone know of any aftermarket bearing company that will make wheel bearings for the buell. I don't want to wait on shipping, and theres not a Buell dealer close to me. |

Take it to a bearing supply co. and they can probably fix you up. |

Shipping is a day in-state, a couple days from American Sport Bike or one of the dealer/sponsors here. Otherwise if you wanted to risk it, you can get the measurements (diameters and depths) and go to a bearing specialty house (out here it's Motion Industries near to me) I'd stick with the direct replacements since they're easy to be had with a phone call. |

There happened to be a local Fastenal dealer near me that could supply me with Buell wheel bearings, fast and inexpensive. Fastenal |

Photos and update to why I had to replace mine. Don't overtorque the front axle. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/234823.html Part numbers for XB bearings 6005 front, and 6006 rear |

I had them removed this morning and found out they are 6005s, went to a bearing shop nearby and got some new bearings. Also found out my Spacer was too short in-between, and thats probably why my "updated orange" bearings went out with only 6k miles on the bike. (i bought it used, so i don't know how many miles are actually on the updated bearings.) Thanks for the reply though T9r! Fastenal is a CANDY STORE out here! I didn't think of them as a bearing house (so much better then) - one thing, you can get the true high temperature self-locking exhaust stud nuts there... but you'll pay like $12 for a hundred of them but you'll score points with your buddies when you hand them 4 and tell them they're FREE to a fellow Buell nut. I can't go within a couple miles of Fastenal with a credit card or cash! Tools, hardware... bad when combined with my money! |
