i just bought a select seat and my girlfriend is complaining about that 1" strap that goes perpendicular to the seat. Ive noticed a few members have removed this strap as this will be this the solution for her, but anyway what does purpose does it serve? |

IIRC: DOT requires a passenger grab strap to legally carry a passenger. |

The saddle does not require a passenger grab strap if the motorcycle itself is equipped with grab rails for the passenger. |

It's also good for tucking the gloves under so they don't fall off the seat when you run into the store for a soda or stop at a gas station to fill the frame. |
