Leg strap?! That ain't going around my leg! It only goes halfway around. I haven't figured out what the little strap is for either, but it sure ain't for a leg! |

Steve, you've got mail. If anyone else needs a bag, ask me after May 27th. I have to make sure I actually have some for my demo weekend and everyone else who stops in to do a test ride. I hope that everyone who asked for one enjoys it. I'll be mailing them out on Monday. |

got ignored, asked for help, got ignored again, then treated like crap, then treated like a buell owner (only slightly better than crap) at chicago H-D (the glenview location), but did walk out with a bag. its a nice bag. glad to have it. wish i didnt have to grovel for a free bag, as well as explain the details and dates of the promotion to the sales guy. no demo due to rainy day. when will buell owners be treated nicely....? I am really disappointed to hear about so many Buell dealers that refuse to participate in these promotions. I suspect that they are afraid that if the participate, the people taking the test rides might actually ask questions about the motorcycle they are interested in . . .which of course would mean that the sales people/dealership would have to actually know something about the Buells. A vicious cycle . . .methinks. I have always felt fortunate . . .even in the years when the good folks in East Troy were not building Buells for my demographic . . .to have several dealerships in the Denver area that "get it" with their Buell line. I have hit nothing but home runs with High Country Harley Davidson in Frederick, Co. . . . . . .and yes, they did participate . . ., and yes, I got my bag this week from them. It is really something to behold . . .and I am straining my limited remaining synaptic resources just to figure out how it works, and what I can put in the plethora of pocketry. Good on YA! to those in participating dealerships that are going the extra mile for Buelleristas in the "dark zones" where bags are not to be had. YMMV, always consider the source . . . Don Casto PS . . .I too have pondered the mysterious "small strap" . . .and determined it is a hernia truss support strap, something additional for us AARP Buellers |

I evidently went to Independence H/D & Buell right behind Barbara because Jim the salesguy mentioned a girl on a Blast had been by before me. The bag is bada$$, and I enjoyed my 07 XB12Ss test ride. It felt like a standard, and the seat had about 2" of gel. It was like sitting on a pillow. Comfy bike overall, but it didn't feel like a sportbike at all. I'll be sticking with my own for now. Sure did like that silky smooth tranny and easy clutch pull though. Major improvement over the 05's. Anyway, Independence H/D & Buell is doing a much better job these days on their Buell sales. Jim reports three sales just this week, and there was a passable selection of apparel and accessories, not to mention eight 07 and 08 Buells in stock. My hat's off to Rick the service manager and his guys too. They feature a mechanic trained specifically on Buells (and rides one too). I don't go over there more than maybe three or four times a year, but they still know my name and bike and are always friendly and willing to talk. I of course gave Jim the url to our beloved badweb and encouraged him to get with the program. I don't know what to do with the little strap either. Think I'll take it off. That's the nicest giveaway I've ever gotten though! Thanks Erik! I'll be sure and buy a dirtbike when they come out. |

Went to the dealers today.... and yeah, I had to go to two before I could even demo a bike to get a bag. 1st dealer (Dallas HD, Allen TX) Sales guy says they have a bag and yes they have the TT I want to demo. So we walk over to look at the TT and I start asking to ride it, he says they don't allow demos, but he tells me to just fill out the card and he will throw me a bag. I ask "what if I wanted to buy a bike today, would I get to ride the bike?" Sales guy says, "Once we get ya approved for financing we could arrange a ride." I laughed and told him I would go elsewhere.. 2nd dealer (American Eagle, Denton TX) Walked in and see a sales guy and asked about a demo ride on a TT and the bag offering. he tells me he doesn't know Buells that well and tells me to hang out a second. He came back 2 mins later with another sales rep and ask me about my Buell experience. I proceed to tell him I have owned 4 and currently have a Uly. He said, let me get you the keys to the TT and oh yeah I need a copy of you Lic. He proceeds to tell me about the TT and how Buell took the suspension of the xb12ss and the ergo of the cityx to make the TT. I said so it had no infulence from the Uly. He so nope, the Uly stands alone. I just cleared my throat and said ah cool.... They will never get it! Needless to say, I got to ride the new TT and got the bag. Nice Bag! I managed to get a nasty head shake on the TT under acceleration. I checked the bike when I got back and it was all fubar'd. The dealer let me set up the bike for me and then take it out again. Got to love that sales guy. I spent about an hour on the bike and loved it, but the Uly is the bike for me. |

California Harley never ceases to amaze me. They have have a Buell day, currently Saturdays, where all the showroom people wear Buell shirts, but don't have any Buells to ride. Got the bag though. |

Yeah, California treated me like crap when I bought mine. The salesgirl yelled at me and told me I'd never find a CityX for the price I wanted and I was wasting HER time. Two days later I rode home from Biggs on a new bike. I hate them. --Sean |

I rode my GS down to Fresno H-D, had a very positive dealer experience test riding an STT. First time out steering was heavy, they took the time to set the bike up for me and I gave it another spin. I had completely forgotten the bag, I was so engrossed on my thoughts about my ride. Glad that my salesperson offered me one! I enjoy the bag and had a good experience trying out a buell. My thoughts on the bike itself are more complex, and I'll save that for another day . big thumps up for Peggy Day at H-D of fresno! she knew a thing or two about buells, and so did the mechanic that spun wrenches on the STT for me, very positive experience. |

When I started riding with the new bag I hung it off to the side which was hmm...lame. You can wear the bag so it lies on the small of your back and use the long strap around your waist to keep it from sliding around while you're carving corners here and there. The mysterious "small strap" allows you to change the position of the waist strap in the event you're too freakin' fat to wear it around your waist. Basically it's a "comfort" feature. |

Thanks Rasmonis. My father and I just got some bags and I'm still wondering how to use all the straps!?!?! Haha. So the bag sits on the bottom of you back/top of your butt squarely, and the strap goes around you when you ride your Buell. So the small strap around the big town is just if your a big guy? Anyone found any good strap combinations and willing to share? I feel stupid, I have a Bachelors degree and I am in Med school and I am on an internet forum asking how to wear a bag! |

Julie, Thanks for the bag. I will let you know when I get it. I went to my dealer to get one and he said I only have 2 left and I need to give them to people who are considering purchasing a new bike. I was like what the F___ is that. I have purchased 2 new Buells from them in the last 30 months and will be trading in my 06 Uly for an 08 this September. Guess who is not getting the next buell purchase I make. Thanks, Mike Long Island, NY 06 XB12X Black of course |

Nah, it doesn't add any length connecting the waist strap to the "small" strap. It does change how it feels. Folks like options. You can wear it either way, hanging off the side or on your butt. The only problem I'm having is that I can't shorten the shoulder strap more and I lost the waist strap. - Guess that's a good reason to demo a new Buell! |

I hate to even ask, but this is probably the only way I'll get one. Would anyone have one they would be willing to send a poor dad of two? I couldn't even afford to get to a dealer even if they are participating in the offer. It would be greatly appreciated and will get used. Thanks in advance... |
