Bill, Sorry to hear about Lance  I've had my share of close calls with deer. Thankfully I've been able to avoid them(or they've avoided me!!!). You should beat yourself up over this! There is nothing you can do to guess, avoid or otherwise when dealing with wild animals. Mennis | ||

Bill, How did he get the broken face bones? Was he not wearing a helmet? Hope he gets well soon but pardon my desire to know about the facial injuries. I am a huge advocate of full face helmets and try to gather up any info I can to support this. | ||

Buelliedan, yes,he was wearing a TOP NOTCH(Arai) full face.I too advocate their use.can't remember where I read it but I'll never forget it and I tell people all the time "if your head is only worth $40 to you wear a 'cool' helmet".....need I continue? Ferris, fergit me!I made it out with my hide in tact.my feelings will heal soon enough.Thankyou for the kind words though To All, I haven't heard from Lance's wife(GREAT girl btw)so I don't have any updates.I'm gonna stop by the hospital on my way home from work in the morning and try to get in to visit him.If I can,I'll let him know that we're all rootin' for him and that regardless of HIS condition,the deer lost!I doubt there's any need to be brief with the messages for him as I imagine he'll have enough time to read them all while he's healin'.Everybody take care and watch out for them critters,they aint watchin' out for us! | ||
